Norton 66623357294 5x7/8 In. Merit ZA Abrasive Disc, Resin Bond, Fiber Backing, 80 Grit, 25 pack
$48.99
• Durable zirconia alumina abrasive for great performance on all metals at an economical price
• Full resin bond for strength and durability
• Heavier fiber backing for strength and tear resistance
• Made in USA
• Medium/80 grit for light blending and cleaning
Merit’s resin fiber discs are made with high quality zirconia alumina grain and manufactured with specially formulated bonding resins to minimize loading, glazing, and grain stripping. Zirconia alumina discs perform well on stainless steel, Inconel, and cobalt. It does not break down like aluminum oxide due to the grain’s high strength. Resin bonds have good moisture resistance, are harder and less flexible than glue bonds, and have good heat resistance and grain retention. Resin bonds are useful for abrasive operations with high operating speeds, impact, and sudden loading, as the resin bond is strong. The fiber backing is stiffer, tougher, and thicker than a paper or film backing. Cloth resists tearing while bending and flexing during use. For use with a molded rubber backing pad (sold separately). Package of 25.
Material: Zirconia Alumina
Diameter: 5"
Arbor: 7/8"
Grit: 80
Max RPM: 10000
Package: 25
