Using what they had learned, Optrel created the Weldcap. They began by generating an auto-darkening lens with a nasal cutout that allows the lens to sit closer to the eyes, significantly increasing the wearer’s field of vision. In addition to a new lens, Optrel developed a lightweight, material combination of plastic and fabric textile parts, providing comfort and flexibility along with the necessary protection. Building upon the progressive ideal, Optrel observed another need within the market and thus created the Weldcap Bump Cap. Expanding on the design of the original Weldcap, Optrel built the Bump Cap to provide the same combination of comfort and safety to welders and metal fabricators who require additional head protection while they work.

And now, Optrel has done it again in their development of the Weldcap Hard. This Weldcap features the same pioneering design with the new ability to attach directly to an industrial hard hat.
